Agdan is situated in Arniston which is a small seaside settlement in the Overberg region on the Cape South coast, close to Cape Agulhas, the southern-most tip of Africa.  Fishermen still take the original style boats out, although now under contract.

 The Arniston Harbour - most fishing boats are wood, the red one in the photograph is a fibreglass fishing boat built in the traditional style.
